ISLAMABAD: In a positive sign, the number of registrations for the coronavirus vaccine have been increasing significantly as over 200,000 people got vaccinated against the virus on Tuesday, said Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar.
Taking to Twitter on Wednesday, the federal minister noted that the number of registrants of the coronavirus vaccines in the country has exceeded the five million mark.
He also urged people who are 40 or above to get themselves vaccinated against the coronavirus, adding that people should continue observing coronavirus safety protocols.
Pakistan is currently vaccinating people who are 40 plus and healthcare workers with Chinese vaccines.

With the IPL postponed indefinitely due to the number of positive cases among the cricketers, most of them are heading back home. Ravindra Jadeja from the Chennai Super Kings team has headed to his farmhouse, a place where he feels safe and posted pictures of his beloved horse on Twitter.
IPL 2021 was suspended on May4 by the BCCI and the IPL Governing Council after some players tested positive. Out of the total of 60 matches, only 29 were completed before the tournament was suspended. The BCCI and other cricket boards have been working together to relocate stranded foreign players who were part of IPL 2021.
